WATERBURY – To commemorate the anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s release from prison, which occurred on February 11, 1990, ice cream giant Ben & Jerry’s has created a new limited batch flavor called “Fall of A-Pod-Tide.” The flavor is described on the carton as “Vanilla Detergent Ice Cream with Real Tide Pods and a Caramel Detergent Swirl.” The company says the unusual flavor combination is in response to “what the kids are eating these days,” and is “a perfect fit” for their new offering.<\/p>\n

Fall of A-Pod-Tide will be available only in scoop shops for the month of February, and then will disappear to the flavor graveyard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
