BURLINGTON – On the evening of Friday June 2nd, Williston resident Aaron Green sat down to dinner at the Farmhouse Tap & Grill<\/a>\u00a0in Burlington, and he is still there as of press time. The waiter presented him with a list of their local craft beers, and he hasn’t ordered\u00a0yet.<\/p>\n

“I don’t want to make a bad decision,” Green says, “so I need to read through the whole list.” At 9,423 offerings from Burlington breweries alone, this is quite a task. “I actually got through the list late Saturday afternoon,” Green confirms, “but by then I had forgotten what was at the beginning, so I had to start over.” Green told bystanders who had stopped to take pictures of him that he now has a system in which he marks off potential orders with a crayon. He hopes that this will help him narrow down his final drink order.<\/p>\n

“It is kind of unusual,” says Jed Davis of the Farmhouse Group. “Usually people get a few pages in, give up, and pick something. Or, they come in with an idea of what they want to order. I’ve never seen anyone actually try to read a list of every craft beer in town. But hey, if he wants to do it, we’ll let him sit there.”<\/p>\n
