You may be seeing comments\nor even separate posts by a publication we believe is calling itself \u201c<em>The Vitunguu<\/em>.\u201d We are uncertain as to\nthe exact spelling, but we speculate it may be an acronym for \u201c<em>Vermont is turning under new gross\nunfortunate untruths.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The disgruntled reader\u2019s identity is unknown, but <em>The Winooski\u2019s<\/em> investigative reporter,\nMada Llha (the second \u201cl\u201d is silent) says the publication may emanate out of a\ncircle of state politicians, or Burlington business owners, or perhaps teenagers\nliving in the Queen City\u2019s New North End. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number was provided to <em>The Winooski<\/em> which enabled us to make a contact. The number was to\na burner phone, making it impossible to track either the location or the name\nof the person to whom we were speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m fed up with this crap,\u201d said the individual on the\nother end of the line. \u201cThe last straw was your <a href=\"http:\/\/thewinooski.com\/index.php\/2019\/05\/22\/satire-site-angers-readers-for-being-both-funny-and-not-funny-at-all\/\">recent\nnarcissistic piece<\/a> about you being so \u2018funny\u2019 and so \u2018not funny at all.\u2019\nFact is,\u201d continued the voice, \u201cI don\u2019t believe a word of what you print!\u201d\nRepeated attempts to explain satire fell on hot ears. \u201cWe are coming for you,\u201d\nshouted the voice into the phone. When asked to identify themselves, the\nindividual sounded as if they exhaled loudly and then whispered ominously\nsomething that sounded like \u201c<em>VITUNGUU<\/em>!<em>\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The call \u2013 and the entire incident \u2013 has been reported to\nthe Burlington Police due to the threatening nature of the conversation. In the\nmeantime we hope our readers won\u2019t fall for any counterfeit or second rate\ncopies of our work.
