WASHINGTON – Senator Patrick Leahy says he has a problem presiding over an \u201cImpeachment Trial\u201d as he does not like peaches. Leahy says he prefers pears over peaches but there is no provision for an \u201cImpearment Trial\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leahy, in a prepared statement indicated the situation is an \u201cImpairment\u201d to proving an impartial overview of the former Presidents actions and is not \u201cpeachy\u201d in his mind. \u201cThis must be corrected!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Leahy aide indicated that the Senator does like \u201cPeppermint\u201d but the Constitution mentions \u201cImpeachment\u201d not \u201cImPeppermint\u201d. Besides \u201cMent and Mint\u201d might be confusing to the Senate as they may not know what was meant the unidentified aide stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vermont Law School Professor Conde Minter, a law school mate of the Senator, says she recalls how much Leahy avoided peaches in favor of pears, bananas and cherries. Minter suggested a Constitutional Amendment substituting pears or cherries as an \u201cInCherryment Trial\u201d would fit in better with the D.C. profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mack Entosch, of the Vermont Applegrowers and Cannabis Propagator\u2019s Coalition, expressed his feelings that an \u201cApplement Proceeding\u201d should be considered. \u201cThe Senator is at the core of this major event, so let\u2019s put an apple on the podium\u201d he stated. Friends of Entosch later admitted that his initial idea was to get everyone stoned and have an “Impotment Trial,” but was talked down to his current proposal. “Hey, Peaches are stoned, aren’t they?” he asked when questioned about the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over at the White House staffers are scurrying to have a Presidential Decree changing \u201cImpeachment\u201d to \u201cImBananament\u201d as polls show this may be more appealing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
