Biblical Millstone Uncovered in NY Lake

OLMSTEADVILLE, NY – While on a fishing trip with three friends in the Adirondack Park, Pastor Wilbur McCoy discovered what is believed to be the millstone Jesus references in the Gospel of St. Luke.

Biblical historians have long assumed the millstone would eventually be found in the Sea of Galilee.  However, a small group of scholars have argued that the millstone reference is a metaphor and, God being God, therefore working in “mysterious ways,” that the real millstone could be anywhere.  This millstone was found in Lake Clear and now resides in front of Pastor McCoy’s church.

It has already become something of a shrine to area believers, some of whom have claimed to have become more caring since touching its surface. Bumper stickers featuring the stone are available at the church office, or via their website.
