A Quick and Easy Way for Vermonters to Check if Their Facebook Info Was Hacked

With the recent revelations regarding Facebook’s loss of user’s personal and private data to stereotypical super-villain Cambridge Analytica, many Vermonters are left wondering if their information is secure, or if it has instead been shared with corrupt, monolithic organizations against their will. Luckily there is a simple, two-step process for determining if the social media giant has personally violated you and your most private details.

  1. Log into Facebook. Simply type “www.facebook.com” into the address bar of your browser, enter your e-mail address and password, and click “Log In.”
  2. If this worked, you have an account and you have been compromised. Facebook has 100% been screwing you over. If it asks you to create an account because you could not be found, congratulations! You have not been compromised and are safe to continue surfing the web and not using Facebook.

Have you been compromised? Have a story to share? Is it false and/or satirical in nature? Let us know! We’d love to get your imaginary or exaggerated tragedy out there to our readers.
