Millionaire Bernie Sanders Tells Angry Mob of Revolutionaries “Let Them Write Books”

WASHINGTON – Speaking from a balcony in Washington DC this week, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders was confronted by an angry crowd of supporters, who questioned his newly announced millionaire status. They were especially concerned with a quote from his most recent New York Times interview in which he said “I wrote a best-selling book. If you write a best-selling book, you can be a millionaire, too.”

Sanders looked visibly unconcerned as the crowd grew more agitated, shouting “You were the chosen one!” and “You were our brother! We loved you!” Aides quickly rushed out to distribute free copies of Sanders’ book, but this did little to calm the rising tension.

Sanders eventually left the balcony, but not before he was heard saying “Let them write books!” before dismissively waving his hand towards the crowd. The Winooski was unable to reach Senator Sanders for further comment, as a member of his new entourage told us,, “Millionaires don’t have to comment on stuff if they don’t want.”
